Goals and routines

From the Crowther Centre

As Term 2 begins, we are very aware of the need to ‘re-set’ practices and routines.

It’s a great time to talk with your son about his report from Term 1, and to look at any goals for Term 2 and then to put these into supportive structures – like routines or checklists.

The other important step is to plan a review meeting in a week or so. Oftentimes, we can start out with the best of intentions, but actually we need to make small adjustments to our approaches to ensure that we have resources to meet goals.

For more information on routines and their importance for students read our position paper on routines.
